Denise Lloyd

Denise H. Lloyd, CIC, President & CEO of D.H. Lloyd & Associates, Inc. has over 30 years of experience on both sides of the fence working as an employee of insurance carriers and as the owner of an insurance agency.

Denise started her career in New York at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in the casualty claims division, with clients such as TWA, Madison Square Garden and Ford Mercury. She then worked for CAN and ALLSTATE as a commercial underwriter. In the 1980’s she moved to DC and joined a local brokerage
as an account manager and reach the position of Assistant Vice President before leaving in 1984.

In January of 1985 Ms. Lloyd formed D.H. Lloyd & Associates, Inc. (DHLA) which is currently licensed in 17 states. D.H. Lloyd & Associates is primarily a commercial insurance agency with clients ranging from many small businesses to large corporations like Kraft/General Mills Food, Black Entertainment
Television, LLC (BET) and more.

Experience

DHLA has teamed with major national insurance brokers to participate in numerous public sector entities around the country. DHLA has provided insurance services for:
• Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA )
• Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority (MWAA)
• National Stadium DC
• Dallas Area Rapid Transit,
• City of Baltimore
• Dallas Convention Center and more
